The goal for Entr’acte is to be bold & innovative, providing young professionals with a platform to perform and create impactful theatre and art. 

 

Entr’acte was built on ambition with an aim to not only recreate full scale productions of pre-written scripts, but also to place an emphasis on experimentation through the form of workshops, original work, opportunities for members to learn from and collaborate with each other and also to reimagine and create fresh interpretations of well loved material.

 

Entr’acte is committed to principles of inclusivity, respect, and appropriate representation in its productions. 

 

In selecting theatrical works for performance, the Committee shall consider the composition of the Society’s membership and the representation required by a given production, and therefore, shall give due consideration to the cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, and other identity characteristics represented within the Society’s current membership. Where a work requires the portrayal of identities, cultures, or lived experiences that are central to the narrative, the Committee shall ensure that the production can be staged in a manner that is respectful and appropriate.
