AIMS Awards 2025
Sweeney Todd
A huge congratulations to all of the nominees and winners at AIMS awards in Killarney.
We are so proud of our incredible cast and crew for taking home THREE awards!
Best Overall Show (Gilbert)
Best Director (Niamh McGowan)
Best Chorus
A big shout out to our Mrs Lovett, Grace who as nominated for Best Actress.
As a society only in its 3rd year in AIMS to have won Best Overall for a second time is immense and the gratitude we feel to the entire AIMS community is unending.
Entr'acte is a community itself and we are so grateful to every single member, as without each of you, we would not be here.


AIMS Choral Festival
May 2025
Congratulations to our incredible Entr'acte Choir who to part in the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Sunday. They did the society incredibly proud.

Highly commended in the Disney competition
A huge well done to the whole choir and a big thank you to Catherine Fox and Emily Ann Byrne for putting together our fantastic quartet and chamber choir entries, and a massive thank you to our choir director Gráinne Larkin.
Castle Gillian
Smock Alley Theatre, April 2025
We were delighted to be contacted by Kevin Purcell and Victor Kazan to produce a staged concert of their musical adaptation of Castle Gillian by Irish author Maurice Walsh.
Castle Gillian was cast and staged within 3 weeks and was brilliantly received by audiences in Smock Alley Theatre.
Congratulations to the production team - Director Niamh Mcgowan, Musical Director Ben Cully, Producer Kate Canavan and Assistant Producer Caoimhe Bermingham.
The incredible cast pulled off an amazing staging of the musical with very few rehearsals; a testament to their immense talent and dedication.
Congratulations all.


Sweeney Todd
O'Reilly Theatre, February 2025
Our 2025 musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street was a circus themed spectacular. Sweeney's Circus was met with up-roaring awe from its many audiences and critics.
The unique vision from the brain of Director Niamh McGowan left audiences speechless.
The incredible cast, crew and production team worked tirelessly and diligently for months to bring this spectacle to life.
Thank you to Niamh McGowan (Director), Róisín Heenan (Musical Director), Kate Canavan (Producer), Eoghan Funge (Company Manager).
Thank you also to our stage crew (under stewardship of SM Dee Ní Chloscaí), our Front of House team and our amazing hair, makeup and costume team, without whom the circus would not have come to life.
Thank you to our incredible lighting designer Gavin Coll and our sound engineer Jody Trehy & One Louder sound.
Last but certainly not least, thank you to our amazingly talented cast. Their performances were other worldly, but their camaraderie and professionalism were even more incredible. We are endlessly proud of you all.
Entr'acte Christmas Spectacular

7th December 2024
Our Christmas Spectacular on 7th December 2024 was truly magical. Our Entr'acte's choir's first performance with the newly formed Entr'acte orchestra, and what a magnificent performance it was.
A huge thank you to our MC Aisling Bonner for guiding us through the night.
Thank you to Vinny Lynch our accompanist and St.Marys Church for their hospitality.
Thank you to our newly formed Entr'acte orchestra and its first chair, Cliodhna Heenan and a massive congratulations and thank you to its conductor, Catriona Atkinson.
Special thanks to Catherine Fox for putting together our stunning barbershop performances, Emily Ann Byrne for her vision as Chamber Choir Director and Assistant Choir Director, Gráinne Larkin for her leadership as Co-Director and of course, our impeccable Choir Director - Róisín Heenan.

The Shadow of a gunman
Smock alley Theatre
October 30th - November 2nd 2024
In October 2024 our second play 'The Shadow of a Gunman' took to the stage in smock Alley theatre.
Under the direction of Cian Gallagher and produced by Kim Whelan, this sold-out run in Smcok Alley was met with rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.
A huge congratulations and thank you to the incredible cast and crew shoes talent and dedication made it all possible. Thank you to the team in Smock Alley for their hospitality and thank you to everyone who joined and supported us along the way.

The Shadow of a Gunman
Entr'actes October 2024 Play
We are pleased to announce our October 2024 play: "The Shadow of a Gunman" by Seán O'Casey, directed by Cian Gallagher and produced by Kim Whelan.
Set during the Irish War of Independence, this play explores the lives of ordinary people caught in political turmoil.
The play will run from October 30th to November 2nd in Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin.
Audition details will be announced soon. Members can register their interest through the form linked in our bio.
Aims Choral Festival 2024
On the 19th of May, our brilliant Entr'acte choir took part in the AIMS Choral Festival in New Ross on Sunday and did the society proud:

Guys & Dolls
Entr'actes 2024 Musical
Our 2024 musical Guys & Dolls was an immense success this March! Directed by Niamh McGowan, Musically directed by Róisín Heenan, Choreographed by Leah Meagher and Produced by Kate Canavan, it was an incredible production that was very well received by the Irish theatre community!

Entr'acte's First Play
Our first ever play took to the stage in Smock Alley Theatre in January to a sold out audience!
The performances by our incredible cast, Marianne played by the incredible Katie O'Byrne and Roland played by the amazing Lewis Quigley, were out of this world! Stewarded by the genius director Ryan Gillespie and Assistant director Jane Bermingham, this was such an amazing start to Entr'actes journey with plays!

Concert
A huge congratulations to our AMAZING Choir who wowed a SOLD OUT audience on Saturday 2nd of December 2023!
They got everybody in the festive spirit with their incredible repertoire!
We are so grateful to each and every member of the choir for giving their time to such a wonderful event!
This performance would not have been remotely possible without the choir's director Róisín Heenan!
